Computer Generated Art

During the summers of 2008 and 2009,  I worked under Dr. Chun Wai Liew, department head and professor of Computer Science at Lafayette College in Easton, PA.  In 2009, I was involved in a computer-generated art project written in Python.  The art I created was shown in the exhibition Computation, Vision: Emergence from Oct. 20 – Dec. 12, 2009 at Lafayette College.  “Images from the exhibition were projected on the outside of the building and on the walls of the gallery.  Attendees were encouraged to wear white in order to reflect the images. The artwork in the exhibit represented a collaboration between students and faculty in the art and computer science departments through the Emergent Patterns project.  The project explored the complex patterns and processes that can emerge in visual structures.  Students from both technical and artistic backgrounds worked with software programs to produce different forms of recurring, natural patterns.”
